Natalie Lenahan’s clients had just returned from St. Thomas on vacation, and during their stay, they fell in love with a waterfront home and quickly purchased it. The happy couple explained to Natalie that their new home needed to be furnished within one month in order to host the Thanksgiving holiday! Although the deadline was a tight one, Natalie got to work on completing this large-scale project immediately.
The couple wanted every room in this wonderful home to be unique. Since the property was a rental, their desire was to name each room so that guests could return to their favorite suite time and again!
For common areas, the clients wanted large-scale seating. Natalie selected a rustic table by Lillian August that offered a sense of relaxation, while woven chairs from Artistica brought an island flair to everyday dining. Additionally, Natalie chose pneumatic stools to accommodate every guest's height at the bar for comfort.
Natural elements were very important to the clients, whether it was dark, rich woods by Tommy Bahama or light, airy Caracole pieces in reclaimed woods.
For alfresco dining, each suite is adorned with laid-back dining spaces. The outdoor spaces are also peppered with lounge areas; including chaises and smaller gathering areas in woven materials and rattans. With large doors leading out to porches, this offers the luxury of both indoor and outdoor living all in one space.
Natalie's clients enjoyed working with her so much that they requested her to complete their next project: a four-bedroom suite cottage next door! Natalie has furnished homes all over the world and has a passion for vacation homes of all kinds, whether it's an island getaway or a mountain retreat. She looks forward to creating your haven!
