The Ultralight Beam series of works on canvas offers a strikingly bold exploration of magnified form, geometric shapes, and the interplay of light and dark rendered on a flat picture plane. Ultralight Beam 1 employs minimalism techniques to great effect using dual solid blocks of muted color separated by a narrow near divider in a lighter shade. The strong angular motif is interrupted by the overlay of a spotlight-shaped ovoid that provides a hint of depth.
