Hand-Knotted
The pinnacle of heirloom quality, hand-knotted rugs will stand the test of time. While that does not neccessarily make them prohibitively expensive, as many might assume, hand-knot is just your best quality. If you look at the back of the rug you can see all the knots, and because the pattern is visible all the way through, the back looks exactly like the front. Hand-knotted rugs will outperform any other category, and 100% wool hand-knotted rugs will last indefinitely. As a result, hand knots are considered more of an investment.
