Jensen Outdoor
The Seeds of Sustainability
At Jensen Outdoor we understand that in order to bring the highest-quality timbers to market, the forest needs to be safe-guarded well into full maturity and beyond.
By purchasing Jensen Outdoor you are directly supporting the longevity of the forests we manage. Jensen Outdoor adds value to these natural resources, through creative furniture design and manufacturing techniques; but we wouldn’t be able to add any value if our forests disappeared. That is why our small-footprint harvesting techniques only select the century-old mature Ipe trees, leaving the younger and more fertile trees to replenish the forest before our next harvest.
Jensen Outdoor was one of the first organizations with forests in South America to become 100% FSC®-Certified in 1995. This means that the forests our wood products come from are independently inspected and verified for compliance against strict standards based on the Forest Stewardship Council’s, 10 Principles of Forest Stewardship. These principles include the recognition of communities and indigenous peoples’ rights, long-term economic viability, and protection of wildlife and the environment.

High Quality Sustainable Materials
The Highest-Quality sustainable furniture in the world requires the right materials.
At Jensen Outdoor, we believe that luxury furniture begins with the right materials. Durable, heirloom-quality pieces elegantly withstand the tests of nature, use, and time by the grace of superior materials. Learn how our heirloom-quality standard for materials is at the heart of every piece of furniture we make.

IPE Wood
Ipe is one of the densest premium hardwoods in the world. Two times harder than teak and considerably more flame- and water-resistant, this fine hardwood has been the choice of top designers, upscale builders, and discerning individuals for outdoor furniture, flooring, and decking for more than a century.

Powder Coated Aluminum
Remarkably durable yet surprisingly lightweight, powder coated aluminum is ideal for highly-trafficked areas, while its sleek beauty complements a variety of decorative materials and allows for creating a clean, contemporary ambiance.

Woven Viro® Fiber
Made of high-density polyethylene, Viro® Fiber is completely colored throughout, smudge-proof, and resistant to the effects of significant temperature variations. How significant? Jensen Outdoor fibers are specifically designed and engineered for outdoor use; insensitive to temperature differences ranging from -90 to +175 degrees Fahrenheit. Jensen Outdoor fibers won’t fade, even if exposed to extreme weather conditions during summer and winter.

High Pressure Laminate (HPL)
High-pressure laminate, commonly known as HPL, is part of a distinctive group of high-pressure decorative coverings that are widely used as surface finishes applied on a broad range of materials. High pressure laminate is typically comprised of Kraft paper enriched with resin. This high-tech composite gets heated under high pressure and temperature to create a layered modern material. The complex process results in a surface finish with excellent antimicrobial qualities and exceptional longevity.
