Leave An Eco-Friendly Legacy

At Furnitureland South, we are always looking ahead. We look for the latest styles, innovative designs, and the finest sustainably made furniture because that’s what you’re looking for, too. We’re proud to work with furniture manufacturers who are eco-conscious and choose to leave behind a sustainable legacy for the next generation of furniture artisans.

The Eco-Link connects the Outdoor Gallery in the Mart to the Design Center in the Showroom Building. This unique exhibition space — itself the size of an average furniture store — features stunning eco-friendly designs crafted with reclaimed and recycled materials.

Our Sustainability Policy

Furnitureland South endeavors to promote the conservation of forests that yield raw material for our products. This philosophy influences our selection of the furniture makers we prefer to represent in the marketplace.

We favor suppliers who affirmatively seek out wood from recycled and reclaimed sources, or who are qualifying themselves for independent certification of their commitment to responsible business operations. The Forest Stewardship Council, FSC, is a key certifying body, helping to ensure the sustainable management of forests. The FSC offers reliable and widely respected certifications to eligible companies.

In our consideration, furnituremakers who meet the rigorous certification criteria of the FSC have satisfied an important factor. Our policy adds to the other ways Furnitureland has joined with those in our industry whose economic goals are governed by their social and environmental duty.

We do not condone activities that harm the environment and deplete natural resources without restoration. Such practices include timber-harvesting techniques that: employ illegal means, result in elimination of forests, introduce genetically modified trees, devalue the resources of indigenous peoples, or poorly manage high conservation value forests.
