Castilian Pillar Holder
Most 18th and 19th century Spanish furniture was made using mortis and tenon construction. Spindles or decorative rails were used as decorative motifs and to ensure stability. The inspiration for the spindle column of the Castilian pillar holders came from several pieces in the Spanish furniture collection in the Museum of International Folk Art. These pillar holders come in two finishes gold and grey.
