Shana Martin is a native to New Jersey, but for the past 10 years, she has been enjoying all the amenities and comforts that North Carolina offers. She lives with her beautiful son, and truly enjoys her life and her profession! Shana has been working in Interior Design for more than 10 years and has a Bachelor of Science in Interior Architecture & Design from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. “I’ve always had a passion for art and design. As a child, I wanted to grow up to be an architect. My favorite possession was a beautiful antique dollhouse. For me, there was never a pretend family living in that house. I much preferred rearranging the furniture, hanging remnants of my parents’ wallpaper, and creating miniature pieces of art to adorn the walls.” Once Shana realized that inside of the home was where her heart was, she steered her career towards Interior Design. We came to Furnitureland South looking for a one stop shop where we could furnish our new home. Having come from overseas, we had limited time (two days) to pick out the furnishings for a 6 bedroom 14,000 square foot home. Shana was key in making sure we were able to accomplish this.
Upon our arrival we found Furnitureland South to be a very welcoming and pleasant place where Shana and her colleagues dedicated a full two and a half days to help us pick out the pieces and assist in the fabric coordination as well as carpet selection.
Furnitureland South had the variety of manufacturers and styles that allowed us to furnish the whole house including the outdoor areas. Given this effort we were able to furnish the house in record time.

Hurricane Sandy caused extensive damage to my home in Lavallette, New Jersey...a home that I decorated primarily through Furnitureland South. In the aftermath of the hurricane, all these beautiful furnishings had to be tossed and trashed. I was in a quandary as to how to replace everything, and truly believed that it would take many different stores and a great deal of my time. I then had an epiphany and thought “why not call Furnitureland South.” And then I met Shana Martin.
Over the weeks that followed, Shana worked with me very diligently and patiently on each piece of furniture that needed to be replaced. Using my original order as well as photos of my furniture, Shana was able to find comparable pieces and fabrics, making selection and purchase very easy for me. She went above and beyond to make certain each piece was perfect.
She worked within my budget and made accommodations with me for delivery. Furnitureland was kind enough to hold my furniture until my home repairs were complete. Once complete, delivery went very smoothly, and the delivery men were so helpful and efficient.

I just returned from a 2 and 1/2 day nonstop shopping trip from Furnitureland South in NC. My husband and I are building a second home in Hideout, Utah, and needed some guidance in making our large purchase. We worked with Shana Martin and she was terrific! S
he made sure all our materials worked throughout the house and that we were purchasing the right scale for the size of each room. She was not pushy or trying to get us to buy more than we needed.
