About Kate Joy
As a licensed interior designer with over 10 years of experience in the home furnishings industry, Kate Joy doubles as both a design professional and furniture guru. Her passion is creating livable interiors that both inspire and bring comfort. After graduating from Illinois State University she worked for a residential design firm based in Chicago where she specialized in kitchen and bath design. Her love for historic architecture brought her to North Carolina to pursue her graduate degree, and she has since fallen in love with the climate and southern hospitality. When she is not creating beautiful interior (and exterior) environments with her clients, Kate spends time outdoors with her husband, two young daughters, and their Sheltie.
