Franz Selenschek

Franz discovered his talent for painting at an early age, illustrating superheroes on a drawing pad and cutting them out to create personalized action figures. Over the years, Franz has dabbled in various art techniques and has come to favor painting abstract and landscape art pieces. He uses an assortment of tools - from brushes to paddles knifes, sponges, tape, Saran Wrap, aluminum foil and stencils he has made himself. His favorite type of paint is acrylic, but he enjoys trying new mediums like bars of soap, Elmer’s glue and silicone when using the pouring technique. Fun fact: before Franz begins painting a new piece, he writes inspiring words on the canvas, such as “success,” “peace,” “love,” “happiness,” “energy” and “power,” as he believes his paintings have the power to bring those words to life in any room they are placed.
