Abi York

Hi, I’m Abi! I’m originally from Mocksville, North Carolina and I’ve always had a love for creating spaces that feel warm, welcoming, and uniquely personal. I graduated from NC State where I studied Design, and since then I’ve enjoyed growing my passion for design and helping others bring their homes to life.

I’ve been working in the furniture industry for about a year, and what I love most about my job is helping people bring their vision for their home to life. I believe furniture is deeply personal—it’s not just about filling a space, but about creating an environment where you can feel comfortable, inspired, and at home.

At Furnitureland South, I’m excited to offer my clients access to the world’s largest furniture showroom, a wide range of design resources, and personalized guidance every step of the way. My goal is to make the process enjoyable and stress-free, so my customers walk away with pieces that truly reflect who they are.

My favorite furniture style is traditional. I love the way older, classic styles tell a story and carry a sense of history. It reminds me of my grandparents’ home, where I have some of my fondest memories, and I enjoy helping others create that same sense of comfort and meaning in their own spaces.

Outside of work, I enjoy finding new coffee shops, rearranging my room, and reading a good book. A fun fact about me is that I once made a marionette puppet completely from scratch—it combined woodworking, sculpting, and sewing, and was one of my favorite creative projects.
