The legend of "El Dorado" lives on in the Dorado Mirror, which could have easily been pulled straight from the mythical kingdom of gold itself. Smaller mirrored tiles, which have each been hand-leafed in gold using the French verre eglomise technique, make up the larger rectangular form. Together they create a gilded wall hanging with an antique effect. While the piece is certainly striking to the eye, its subdued shine and vintage texturing allows it to remain tastefully sophisticated, adding warmth, rather than flashiness, to a room. Still, one can't help but consider it a treasure.
