DO NOT Purchase from FURNITURELAND SOUTH
I purchased a Magnussen Bedroom set on November 25, 2017 by phone and have yet to receive my entire order as of April 3, 2018 OVER 4 MONTHS LATER!!!!! nIn January 2018, I received a partial order of a bed and dresser, 3 pieces were not delivered due to damage in the warehouse. The damaged bed has yet to be replaced, items damaged (multiple times) in the warehouse failed to be replaced and delivered in a timely fashion. Furnitureland South has repeatedly changed my delivery date without advising me only to cancel a few weeks later. I have taken many days off of work to receive delivery to accommodate them. nI was supposed to receive a delivery last week, end of March but it was canceled due to a weather related event. I emailed Furnitureland South my days of availability and thought they would make an attempt to honor due to multiple cancellations and delays.....not even an acknowledgment of receipt of the email. nYesterday, April 2, 2018, I recieved a call at 10:52am from a Furnitureland customer service representative telling me that the double dresser was damaged, they attempted to repair but it is not at their standard of quality for delivery. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES. I wonder if it were damaged last week when it was scheduled to be delivered? The delivery customer service representative gave me two options, 1) wait until the new dresser arrives which will take two weeks and then another several weeks for delivery n 2) get a partial delivery and new dresser will be ordered and delivered. nI have put off the sale and open house of my home for over a month due to the master bedroom begin unfurnished WE ARE LIVING OUT OF BOXES and BINS!!! I accepted the partial delivery. The customer service representative suggested receiving the double dresser to help with staging, would seek compensation on my behalf for my multiple inconveniences, delays, damaged furniture, cancellations, and acknowledge my unfortunate experience with Furnitureland South, and would email me within an hour to confirm. As of 7am this morning I have not received a follow-up email from Furnitureland South. nLast night, I emailed to ask the status of my conversation with a representative and will have to follow-up with a call today. nThis appears to be a company standard of practice and I would not advise a purchase from this store. I have documented emails to and from to substantiate my claim of horrible customer service. They appear very comfortable with taking money from consumers and not adhering to a positive standard of practice. My family and I have literally been held hostage for months and they don't care.
Dining room table
Dining room table bought 2/21/17. paid 2,500.00. I was told it would be very durable with a coating on it to protect it. I also bought it with a warranty through guardsman furniture I also bought it with a warranty through guardsmen furniture Within a few months I had scratches and small dents in it. Guardsman furniture refused to fix it because of the color. It was a gray wood and they did not repair it and yesterday returned my warrantee money. I feel it was deceitful to sell me a product with warranty that the warranty company when needed could/would not repair. I was Told by the service consultant that the table top coated be repaired if stripped and refinished. Howeverguardsman did not do that.
I've been purchasing from Furnitureland for years. Tim Shepard is the salesman I've always worked with. He has helped with any issue we've ever had and also gave us great ideas on decorating. I can recommend him highlyn Thank you, Nancy Johnson
I ordered a table lamp on September 18, 2017. I wanted to have the lamp in place for a Christmas party we were having the second week in December. On October 5, I received the following email -nn"I have received word from Bramble that the lamp is in production however at this time, the completion date is not expected until Jan 1. nWe understand this may be a gift and wish we had a better estimated time of delivery. nI have attached a Bramble lamp we have in the outlet center if you felt you needed to make a return/reselect. The only issue with the return is the order has been accepted and in production at Bramble therefor a 1/3 return fee would apply. nIu2019m sorry to share the bad news."nnI was not informed at the time of placing the order about a return fee being charged if I cancelled the order. I did not particularly like the lamp that Furnitureland South had in stock. I decided to keep the order open and hope that the lamp would arrive in time for our Christmas party as I did not want to pay the return fee, which would have been almost $100.nnOn January 4, 2018, I still had not received the lamp nor had I heard anything from anyone at Furnitureland South. I sent an email to my Design Consultant inquiring about the status of my lamp. I received the following reply -n"Bramble has sent the lamp to us, we should be receiving it any day. Our delivery team will prepare it for a USPS delivery shortly thereafter receiving. I would expect it in your home in the next few weeks."nnI received the lamp almost two weeks later.nnI am EXTREMELY disappointed in Furnitureland South. I have ordered several other pieces from Furnitureland South and was always extremely satisfied. The customer service was always very good, the merchandise always arrived in excellent condition and in a very timely manner. I feel I should have been informed of the return fee when the order was placed. I was not. I feel that the design consultant, or someone, should have been in touch with me throughout the whole process. The only time I ever heard anything after October 5 was if I initiated the contact. The customer service on this transaction was nearly non-existent. Also, when the lamp did arrive, it was not in perfect condition. Although it has a distressed finish, there are at least three places on the lamp where the finish has not taken or it "broke" off. I considered returning the lamp but after the agonizing process of getting it, I decided to have my faux finishing lady repair the blemishes.nnI am extremely disappointed in Furnitureland South, in my design consultant, and in Bramble Company. I expected better from Furnitureland South, and I know they are capable of providing much better service. Shame on you.n
Best furniture shopping experience!
We heard about Furnitureland South from our friend and because we needed to buy furniture for the whole house, we decided to do our shopping here. The store itself is huuuuge! I spent whole Friday and Saturday in store and still wasn't able to check out all furniture collections. But luckily, with the help of our amazing design consultants, Brittany Morris and Emily Taylor, we were able to find what we came for. nnBoth Brittany and Emily are great to work with, they are very knowledgeable and friendly! After I let them know the style, design and colors I liked, they put together a power point deck, showing furniture that would look good in each room. I really enjoyed going over the slides and picking out furniture that I liked. My fiancu00e9 and I had very different tastes in furniture and our designers did a great job of helping us find something that we both liked. Brittany and Emily never rushed us throughout the process and they even stayed with us after closing. I would highly recommend Brittany and Emily if you are looking for someone who is both professional and fun to work with. n

We had a great helper in Henry and thought the selection was fabulous. Being an eclectic buyer I loved the variety and ability to see and try the furniture first hand. Also the flexibility in delivery was appreciated.
Sales Staff vs. Delivery Dates
Kim Hair was our sales rep. She was awesome, attentive, helpful, consistent and always responded. I wish I could say the same about the promised delivery date. We bought a sofa and a rug. Ordered 8/24/17. Sofa delivery promise date was met. Rug delivery promise date went from 9/24/17 - 11/21/17. We needed our order by Thanksgiving and the delayed delivery date was not acceptable. It changed with the wind. Really? The manufacturer can't make a rug in 3 months? We ended up taking the one off the floor. It is fine so far, but I really would have loved to have a new one. The delivery times/promptness was great. The delivery staff was more interested in getting out of our house than to make sure all was well.

Before even visiting Furnitureland South, I did a lot of research comparing prices of specific furniture brands, store policies and delivery guidelines. I also communicated with the store. All in all, it was a wonderful experience from start to finish, and I would do it again in a heartbeat.nnBeing from out of state, the furniture shopping involved a flight and hotel for a few nights. But what I saved in money, time and design more than made up for the travel costs. It is the biggest furniture store in the world, so whatever you're looking for, you'll find. We wanted good, solid quality furniture that will last but without breaking the bank. We found it at FLS.nnI chose design consultant Sherry based on her bio on the website. We started the project together two months before I even visited FLS by communicating over phone and through email. We had to completely furnish a townhome in Florida, so I sent her our floor plan along with pictures of things I liked from Houzz and the FLS website so she knew the look and style I was going for. nnWe spent two full days with Sherry at FLS and she was just delightful! She maneuvered us through the buildings to the brands and styles to match our budget and style. She was right on with both! Her advice was helpful, not pushy, and with her assistance, the whole project came together beautifully! We would have been overwhelmed on our own, so having Sherry was a blessing. Since we were not moving into our townhome until late October, we appreciated that all of our furniture was held in the FLS warehouse for free as it came in. We paid 50% upon order and the balance when all furniture was in.nnWhite glove delivery was free. The delivery department was accommodating, and we were able to schedule delivery for the very day desired. Delivery was on time as scheduled to Florida. They confirmed the date about a week ahead and gave us a four-hour window a day or two before, and called a half hour before getting there. The delivery guys were awesome! William and Quentin placed everything perfectly, even when I asked them to move the rug and couch over by a few inches. They even synced the two sides of our adjustable bed. Every piece was absolutely perfect. They carried out all packing materials, so when they left there was nothing for me to do but to sit down and enjoy my beautiful new furniture!nnI would recommend Furnitureland South and designer Sherry Needles to anyone!

Sharon Allen greeted us on arrival and she was spot on!nShe took the time to listen to our needs and saved us a lot of wasted time in areas that just wasn't our taste or what we were looking for. She also went out of her way with follow up phone calls to make sure we were satisfied before the final step. That was extremely important to us as we did talk over and changed our minds a few times with color choices. Sharon was so patient and kind. We hope everyone that walks into Furniture Land South gets a "Sharon" to look out for them as with all the furniture it can get quite overwhelming. Wonu2019t be back
Made two trips trips the first one we spent several hours looking at sofau2019s when we found one we wanted to purchase but could not find anyone who would help me check out and pay for it. Was near the end of the day felt like they just wanted to close. We live 70 miles away and were coming back to area in a few days so we decided to look elsewhere and if we didnu2019t find something else we would come back. We returned on 10/16 we told salesperson at front desk we knew what we wanted and we went with her to show her the sofa then spent a considerable amount of time with her looking for ottomans and side chairs. We could not find what we were looking for and she said she would continue to look for us and keep in contact. I gave her my information to pay for sofa and after several minutes she said that sofa was u201con reserveu201d when I asked what that meant she said it had been sold and should have been marked as sold. She made several calls to see what she could do. We waited several minutes and finally we decided to leave and she promised to call in a few minutes to let us know status, she had my debit info and could do purchase transaction after we left. After a couple of hours I called left message and emailed salesperson with no response. I called and left message for a supervisor to call still to this day have never received call from supervisor. After getting home we spent several hours looking on line for same sofa we found and purchased, we also purchased ottoman, two side chairs, two end tables and rugs. The next day I got return call from salesperson saying that sofa was now available we went ahead and purchased and canceled sofa purchased on line because we liked color better. Not upset with salesperson as much as Iu2019m annoyed that you would have something on floor for sale that is not available but mostly ticked off about not getting return call when I asked for one from manager/supervisor. When a customer is not satisfied and wishes to express that to someone in charge and canu2019t get a return call it shows total lack of care.
No order updates
We placed an order for an entertainment center on 10/15/17 and as of 10/23/17, we've heard nothing from Furnitureland South on order status or delivery.
I had a difficult time creating an account due to previous accounts set up as a customer. I also was charged for shipping even though I was within the time for free shipping. Hoping to see it credited on my final invoice. Also, not sure of delivery date.
Not overly eager to help
As we were walking through the showroom, very few people said anything to us. When we were trying to find a place to buy our small items and asked where we could check out, everyone just looked at us and no one was really eager to help. They just sat there and looked at each other. Finally a man told the youngest employee to help us out, and she looked just as confused. Not the way you want your business to come across I assure you.
When will the product arrive?
I ordered a dresser 11 days ago and have not heard any word on when to expect a phone call to schedule delivery. It is annoying to be asked for review when I havenu2019t even received an email about shipment.

I had the pleasure to work with Angela Six and Caroline Youngdale to furnish all rooms of a 4 bedroom house. Preliminary conversations were through emails and phone. I visited the store and in one day was able to select and purchase all pieces. Angela and Caroline were fantastic! They knew what I wanted and were able to direct me to the right pieces without "blowing" the budget.nGreat way to spend a day and buy furniture.n

Delivery took over a month but the product was in good condition when it arrived and delivery service was above the normal.
We didnu2019t understand how the shipping had to be consolidated and that required us to have quite a few phone calls before we were able to get products shipped. We had been told originally that 6 chairs we had seen on the showroom floor, and subsequently bought, would be also be available for shipment. That didnu2019t work out and later we learned that they would instead be arriving from the manufacturer and would be far too late to make it with our other items. This will likely result in us canceling them.
