The past forty years have been a wonderful journey for our family. This journey has provided an excellent opportunity to serve our clients, our staff and our fellow man. Occasionally, I ponder the question, "Is Furnitureland the largest home furnishings retailer because we are the best, or vice-versa?" I prefer to think that Furnitureland South became the largest as a result of my genuine desire to offer our customers the winning combination of the best service, the most choices and the greatest values! Regardless, none of this would have been achieved without our customers, our manufacturing partners, or our staff.

Quite often, I have been asked if it ever occurred to me that Furnitureland South would one day grow to become the single largest furniture store in the world? The simple answer is no - we never considered this and feel that we must give God the glory for all of our achievements. Indeed, our family is thankful that God blessed us with good health, thankful for our many dedicated and honorable employees, thankful to our manufacturing partners, and especially thankful to our many clients for being so loyal and supportive.

This has been a quick, fun, and challenging 40 years!
