Quality Furniture from the World's Largest Furniture Showplace
DESIGN TIP - Todd Needles

Battle of the Sexes ...

In this corner ... the hard working husband who wants a big, comfortable recliner.

In the other corner ... the design conscious wife who will not have that large, unsightly thing in her home.

My wife and I have been in Sales and Design with Furnitureland South for a combined total of almost 40 years and we have the same struggles. Who wins? In today's motion furniture world we can make both sides happy. There has never been a better time to blend style with function.

Though still available, today's manufacturers have ventured away from the "bubba" chair. They now lean toward designs that fit today's homes. These chairs no longer look like recliners but rather like stylish, stationary pieces of upholstered furniture. With hundreds of leather options and endless fabric selections, there is no end to the possibilities.

All recliners are not created equal. There is good reason why some cost more than others. Solid wood frames, the type of reclining mechanism used in the chair, even the grade of foam used in the cushions can affect the value and price. All of these things play a part in the comfort and lifespan of your new recliner.

Your new addition to the living room need not "match" the other pieces of upholstery you already have. Let the recliner's fabric or leather bring the look together for you.

Last but not least, we all find chairs to be comfortable for different reasons. I always recommend that my clients sit in the chair for that "perfect fit."

Taking all factors into account, we can and will find that winning recliner. By unanimous decision, peace and harmony prevail!

I was raised in High Point - the "Furniture Capitol of the World" - so I've been around the furniture business all of my life. The furniture factories, upholstery shops and stores just seemed natural to me. Growing up around the people that make these places run, it was inevitable that I would have a career in the furniture industry. I have spent my entire career in sales with this family-owned company. In my twenty years of service, I have had the pleasure to work with literally thousands of customers in every state. From a single project for a newly married couple, to that second home at the beach or mountains that represents a life-long dream, I've done it all.

With over one million square feet of showroom space from which to work and as a Senior Design Consultant, there is no job too big (or too small). Though styles and trends have changed, one thing has not: my customers deserve and receive superior service along with a great selection. Please contact me to schedule an appointment, or to discuss your furniture needs.
