Luxury Condo, Charlotte, NC

The owner of this luxury condominium in Charlotte, North Carolina wanted an elegant, feminine space utilizing clean, simple lines that would complement her busy lifestyle and provide an inspired environment for entertaining. The result, a collaboration between Furnitureland South Design Consultant, David Erwin and interior designer Teri Seidman, can best be described as sophisticated “soft modern.”

Working with a focused color palette of light hues, David and Teri selected furnishings from manufacturers including Century, Swaim, Ferguson Copeland, Guy Chaddock, E.J. Victor, Marge Carson, and Christopher Guy. Blending various styles to create an atmosphere of graceful refinement, they chose individual pieces based on comfort, style, proportion, and function.

David was able to work seamlessly with Teri, a member of Furnitureland South’s Design Partners program. “Teri is an inspiring, accomplished, talented designer with a wonderful personality,” David says. “We both speak the same visual language, so that made our collaboration very natural. Our client was fully vested in our design aesthetic and responded favorably to everything we did - perhaps because her wants and needs were always foremost in our thinking.”

This is the second residence for which David has had the pleasure of working with this client.

David Erwin has enjoyed a lifetime of design in a number of capacities, including decorating sets for the film industry. He has been a Design Consultant with Furnitureland South since 2003, and enjoys a long list of successful projects with many dear clients.
