Meet Tim O'Brien
Tim O’Brien, a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, has worked with clients from all over the world during his decade-long career as a Design Consultant at Furnitureland South; some of which include projects in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Australia, the Virgin Islands, China, United Arab Emirates and Vietnam. He has a gift for listening to his clients before guiding them through a fun and efficient visit to transform their visions into reality. This ability has earned Tim the prestigious “2 Million Dollar Club” status at Furnitureland South.
In his free time, Tim enjoys cooking and spending time with his wife and four children. Tim loves helping clients with their home furnishings needs and looks forward to having the opportunity of working with you.

I have already recommended Tim OBrien and Furnitureland South to all of my friends and family. In the past I have been a customer of Rose Furniture and Boyles. I did not shop at Furnitureland South because it always seemed too big and overhwelming. Tim OBrien has converted me into a Furnitureland South customer, thanks to his knowledge of the lines and ability to navigate the store easily. After meeting with him and explaining needs, Tim goes right to the appropriate areas of the store, bypassing all of the distractions.
We came to Furnitureland South looking for a one stop shop where we could furnish our new home. Having come from overseas, we had limited time, two days, to pick out the furnishings for a 6 bedroom 14,000 square foot home. Tim was key in making sure we were able to accomplish this. Upon our arrival we found Furnitureland South to be a very welcoming and pleasant place where Tim and his colleagues dedicated a full two and a half days to help us pick out the pieces and assist in the fabric coordination as well as carpet selection. Furnitureland South had the variety of manufacturers and styles that allowed us to furnish the whole house including the outdoor areas. Given this effort we were able to furnish the house in record time. Orders have been placed and Tim is in continuous contact with us advising us on how the orders are progressing. I can say that we consider Tim to be our contact point for any future furniture needs from the United States.

Tim and I first became acquainted through phone calls and e-mails in anticipation of a visit to the store. He took the time to guide me through the vast array of manufacturers, pointing out those that offered the styles and quality I was looking for. We were able to make the trip to NC last year to select furniture for our new home in Florida. This would have been an overwhelming task without Tim's assistance. Based on his understanding of our needs and taste in furnishings, he had already established a game plan to help us navigate the store as efficiently as possible. Tim's design experience and knowledge of manufacturers were invaluable. This was especially important because I often found myself agonizing over my decisions. Tim was there to guide me, and his patience was extraordinary. Tim O'Brien made our experience at FLS both pleasant and productive. Tim is an outstanding ambassador for Furnitureland South. The furniture is beautiful and elegant, and all the pieces fit perfectly in our rooms.
We just bought a second home in Connecticut and had to furnish it from scratch. We have moved many times, but always with our old furniture and never had to start with a blank slate. I sent plans to Tim O'Brien, who spent two days guiding us around the huge show room . We furnished our new home from top to bottom, sometimes thinking about comfort, but always with an eye on price. Tim helped us find furniture that fit our tastes and budget and then helped us to configure the furniture in each room. We left High Point and returned home to CT; some of our furniture was here immediately, other items came later. The service was excellent. We had a minor problem with a few things, and Tim intervened so we got everything in a timely manner. We added a few things as well. Tim made sure they were included with our deliveries. I am delighted and would certainly recommend the store and Tim O'Brien to anyone looking for furniture.
Wow. Our experience at Furnitureland South was awesome. It is the place to be when you are looking for furniture. The best part was working with Melissa Hollida and Tim O'Brien. What a great team! We were able to furnish a 6000 sqft. house in 5 days due to their hard work and efficiency. This is coming from a person who cannot make fast decisions. I owe this to them. Before our trip we provided them with plans and a list of what we are looking for and they were very ready when we got there. Tim communicated with us before the trip and was with us every single day from 8:30 to 5:30. Thank you Melissa and Tim. Now we wait for the delivery date to be scheduled!
