Meet Debbie Kennon
Debbie Kennon, a Design Consultant at Furnitureland South, was born in High Point, NC, and discovered her passion for design and the furniture industry during her childhood. She was fortunate to watch her father, grandfather and great grandfather work in the furniture manufacturing industry, allowing her to gain a comprehensive understanding of quality furniture.
Debbie’s friendly personality and strong work ethic continue to guide her towards valued and lasting relationships with a variety of clients. Through years of interior design experience, she has developed an ability to listen and interact with her clients to identify how they envision their newly designed space. Debbie has more than 20 years of experience in residential, office, contract and commercial furnishings, plus 10 years of experience in the fashion industry. She also has the knowledge of color trends, fabrics, texture and the importance of accessorizing to complete a custom space. Debbie offers assistance with space planning, furniture layout, custom upholstery, furniture selection, bed linens, rugs, art, and mattresses. Her unique talents allow her to create living spaces that are aesthetically pleasing, highly functional, and most importantly, spaces that reflect the personality and lifestyle of the client.
Her most recognized projects include the IDS Showhouse at Lake Norman and International projects in Republic of Cyprus, Grand Cayman, Kuwait, Lebanon, Turkey and various other countries. She is the Furnitureland South Corporate Partner Account Manager for Delta Airlines, Fed-Ex, GlaxoSmithKline, Wyndham Worldwide, and currently working with Proctor & Gamble.
We were prepared for a long and tedious process. We were pleasantly surprised, as it turned out to be a fun experience (finding exactly what we need in half the time we expected). And Debbie Kennon was not just our sales representative - it was as if we were shopping with our best friend! Even our kids enjoyed hanging out with her!
I was so pleased to make my order this week with Debbie. She has been working with me for over 6 months with considerable indecision on my part, and her patience, creativity, extensive knowledge and experience, and warmth of character made all the difference. I have already referred several friends to Furnitureland South and to Debbie, in particular.
There are few buying experiences that compel one to write a note of thanks. My husband and I had such an experience at Furnitureland South on April 4, with Debbie Kennon as our guide.
We had been referred to your store and to Debbie by a previous customer who was advising us on the building of our vacation home in East Tennessee. We had no previous experience with High Point, except that the location was known to us as a furniture capitol. After more than a year of house building, we were anxious to find the right furnishings to complement our home's design and unique finishes. We had been disappointed with Internet searches and local retail offerings. Our expectations also were modest for our trip to Highp Point. We were hoping to find a key piece or two.
Furnitureland South made more than that possible. In just one day, we furnished our great room, conversational bar area, kitchen nook and master bedroom. This would not have been possible without the expert guidance of Debbie Kennon.
