Meet Ashleigh Neitzel
Originally from northern Ohio, Ashleigh Neitzel made the move to North Carolina in 2007 to follow her passion and pursue a career in interior design. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Architecture from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She is experienced in many facets of design from commercial renovation, residential design to product design, from which she was able to discover her true passion for residential interior design.
Her expertise in space planning, accessorizing and blending of styles, fabrics and color gives Ashleigh the innate ability to successfully design a home that expresses her clients’ unique style and lifestyle. She believes inspiration surrounds us through nature, art and everyday life and she enjoys helping her clients find that once piece that speaks to them. “There is nothing I enjoy more that helping my client achieve the home they’ve always dreamed of.”
When Ashleigh is not working she enjoys refurbishing vintage furniture to give a modern–day look. She also enjoys spending time with family, friends and her adorable rat terrier, Leila, exploring the beautiful mountains and oceans that North Carolina has to offer.
I wanted to share with you the fantastic experience my wife and I had at Furnitureland South working with Ms. Ashleigh Neitzel. My wife and I choose Ashleigh from your list of design consultants and communicated with her via email 6 weeks or so prior to see if she would be available to work with us. We had 2 full days and a first partial day planned for shopping so we can furnish our new home. She promptly replied back to us and blocked off her schedule to ensure that she would be available for us during that time. She also did a phone interview with us prior to get an idea of what we were looking for and asked us for floor plans, photos, etc. to help her prepare for our visit.
We flew in from NJ and after checking in to our hotel, we arrived at your facility by 2:00 PM. Ashleigh greeted us at your reception and we went to her office for a consultation. Upon arriving at her office, I was surprised at the level of preparation that she had done prior. She had our 2 page floor plan enlarged to scale and taped to her desk. We then proceeded room by room and discussed how we would design each room. I was particularly impressed by the magnetic replicas of furniture pieces that she used to layout each room. I see how important this step was as it laid out a plan of attack for us to be able to maximize the little time we had to accomplish what we wanted.
We had some time before closing to do a quick walk thru with Ashleigh in the Mart and the Outlet. For the next 2 days we met promptly at 8:30 and proceeded to shop in your enormous facility and did not stop until closing time of 5:30. During that whole time Ashleigh was pleasant, upbeat, and extremely supportive and helpful. Not once did we feel that she got tired, frustrated, or anxious to go home as many times we were still there past 5:30. She always had a smile on her face which made us very comfortable. She was also very understanding of what we were looking for and never tried to push her ideas on us. Even at times when I particularly was indecisive or disagreed with my wife about a certain style or a certain color, she patiently listened to me to see what my concern was and tried to help us come to an agreement.
Even after we left your facility and placed the order, we are still communicating and she is always answering our questions. I am sure you know this already, but we wanted to make sure you are aware of what a valuable, knowledgeable, and pleasant person you have working at your facility. Ashleigh, we wanted to let you know that we appreciate all your work with us and your wonderful personality and hard work with us did not go unnoticed. We will without any hesitation always recommend you as the design consultant of choice at Furnitureland South. Once again, thank you Ashleigh for all help.

Of course, your wonderful design help and efficient ordering and correspondence was outstanding! Additionally, I want to commend Mary Ellen in shipping who was extremely helpful in coordinating the delivery of our furniture down here to Bald Head Island; and also, Darrell Bowles and Julius Parker (the delivery men) who were superior in their cheerful, polite and helpful manner. They worked so fast and so hard to get all the beds set up, etc., then we got the call that the barge was cancelled the rest of the day because of high winds! So now they will have to spend the night in Southport again and come back over for the truck tomorrow.

We asked Ashleigh Neitzel for your email because we wanted to tell you what an excellent experience we had working with her during our recent furniture purchase. We originally were in touch with her over a year ago when she was recommended to us. We got back in touch via email about 2 months ago and asked her about some specific types of dining room furniture we were interested in. Her response was very helpful and she even sent a picture of one set we had mentioned. We set up an appointment at Furnitureland South and her help made our visit very easy and productive. She listened to what we were interested in and offered excellent suggestions and ideas without being pushy. She spent quite a bit of time with us to make sure we were completely satisfied with our possible purchase. When we actually made the purchase, she was thorough with telling us the complete cost, factoring in your sales, and in general, answering questions we had about delivery and pricing. We would highly recommend Ashleigh to any of our friends who might buy furniture at Furnitureland South.
This past Saturday was our first visit to your store. We live in Southern Pines and after reviewing your website decided to drive up for the day and browse. We were pleasantly greeted at the information desk and shortly Ashleigh introduced herself self to us. She immediately set a very positive tone with us, not being pushy or being hurried with us. She listened to what our furniture interests & styles were and gave us insights as to where to start our tour of the buildings.
We were not even sure if we were going to buy anything that day, but instead of just handing us a map and pointing us in a direction to start Ashleigh showed us the way to the fourth floor area she thought we should start. Once there she continued to give us hints and ideas on the furnishings we might be interested in, set us up with the app on our phone, answered a few more of our questions then allowed us time to "wander around".
We actually made a couple of purchases and, again, Ashleigh, made the whole process very easy for us and gave us exact information on how and when our purchase would delivered to us. It was one of the best experiences we have ever had shopping for furniture, or any big ticket item for that matter. It impressed us that with such a big operation the personal touch was always there from your entire staff, but especially from Ashleigh.
Ashleigh is a big reason why we will come back and buy again! We feel like we found someone who really took the time to get to know us and guide us in the right direction while all the time feeling like her "getting a sale" was the last thing on her list with us. Very impressed with the customer service! That is saying a lot from someone who has been in the food service field for over 30 years and has a longtime friend in the furniture business!
So many times (and we well know) customers will tell you the not so good experience they encountered so we thought it would be a nice change to let you know the good! keep up the customer service and make sure you give Ashleigh a BIG High 5 for a job well done! Many Thanks.
