We were met at the door by Stephanie Portaro and were treated throughout several hours over two days with the utmost professionalism, kindness, and enthusiasm. Her vision of what we wanted to purchase meshed exactly with our style, which made the entire experience fun and rewarding. We will most definitely recommend FLS and Ms. Portaro to our friends and neighbors. She should be recognized for her expertise, interpersonal skills, and professionalism.

Jessica Barkman was excellent to work with - she was very knowledgeable about the products, and I felt like she truly wanted to help me find the best products to fit my needs. She was very friendly and helpful and made my shopping experience very easy and enjoyable.

We had the great fortune to have a highly knowledgeable, sincere, and astute Design Consultant. Debbie McMahon made us feel at ease and that she had our best interest at heart. Through casual conversation she was able to understand our taste and needs. She targeted the areas we needed to visit, making the experience efficient and productive. At times we needed her advice to help us determine if a selection was appropriate. She was sincere, direct, and once again, offered her perspective based on our needs and desires in our best interest.

Ms. McMahon left no doubt in our minds her mission was to take care of us rather than maximize the sale. After leaving the store, we had items to consider and decisions to make. We needed to correspond with Ms. McMahon numerous times. She always responded promptly and spent significant administrative hours checking information and communicating with us. Our purchase was approximately $8,000. We will need to make more purchases in the future. My mother is furnishing a home and will be visiting Ms. McMahon. We informed Ms. McMahon we were hers as long as she is at Furnitureland South. We could not be happier with her service and friendship. Because of how Ms. McMahon treated us, we will only come to her for our future needs. There is no reason to go elsewhere.

To Design Consultant Susan Gilbreth - You are a talented designer and a hard worker who clearly cares about others in a way that goes far beyond what could be expected based on a business relationship. We were not ready and, in many ways, we are still not ready to figure out the furniture. We are two insanely busy people who are basically clueless. Cindy has a wonderful sense of fashion but no time to indulge it.

At every step of the way you have given us good input. You were endlessly patient and you were never condescending. If you were frustrated it never showed. You were kind and fun to work with and reinforced my view that the nicest people in the world come from North Carolina. I will do all that I can to send you more customers. If there is anything else I can do for you, please let me know.

Best selection of furniture - whatever you are looking for. All staff are helpful, friendly and courteous. We received our first delivery last week. Have NEVER had a more professional, courteous and helpful delivery team. Norris and Brock were outstanding. I hope you let them know how delighted we were.

Yes we have already recommended Furnitureland South!! Other members of High Point University and families know of our experience as well as our family here in Rhode Island and in California, who are now planning on being in the area in the Spring and plan to come to your store.

Very good presentation of furniture, and well organized. Our Design Consultant’s help was very good - listened to the need that we had for a smaller size family room and need to be economical and wise for furniture’s intended use. Audrey Roth was extremely understanding and responsive to our concerns and needs. There was no high-pressure sales feeling from her at all. She honestly cared to help us make the right decision. It was very refreshing for us from other sales people in other furniture companies we had used. She was very gracious and patient when we needed to make a change to our order, (room is small, and we had to reconfigure furniture order once we got back home to RI and re-measured spacing). Our daughter goes to High Point University and many of the Administrators there recommended your store. In advance, thank you we will be back in the Spring to look again!
