December 2016: Home Furnishings Business named Furnitureland South #1 in the nation among the Large Independent category of furniture stores in their 6th Annual Power 50 rankings. The publication also rated Furnitureland South second overall in the country among all stores. HFB based their rankings on various metrics, including market share, retail expansion and social engagement with online visitors and customers on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.

December 2016: Jeff and Jason Harris were recognized by the Salvation Army of High Point for their charitable giving.

October 2016: Furnitureland South raised $70,000 to benefit Victory Junction Camp in Randleman, NC as a result of the 2nd Annual A. Darrell Harris Memorial Gold Tournament.

July 2016: The charitable endeavors of Furnitureland South founders, Darrell and Stella Harris, will continue on as Furnitureland South announced that $250,000 (retail value) of furniture has been donated to the High Point chapter of Salvation Army. 

April 2016: Furnitureland South donated $1 million to High Point University and opened the Harris Sales Education Center.

April 2016: Secretary of Defense Freedom Award Nominee for employer support of the Guard and Reserve.

October 2015: The inaugural A. Darrell Harris Memorial Golf Tournament raised $100,000 for Brenner Children’s Hospital.

September 2015: Furnitureland South was recognized as one of the “Triad’s Best Places to Work” by the Triad Business Journal.

October 2010: Darrell and Stella Harris were inducted into the American Furniture Hall of Fame by members of the American Furniture Hall of Fame Foundation, Inc., based on their professional achievements, personal standards and civic involvement.
